Cirencester Park & Summer Solstice

This year is the twenty first anniversary of the Cirencester Ride. It is also the fourth year of its tenure of the Summer Solstice.

A parade of Crabbet horses (minimum 75%) who are competing / have competed in endurance will take place at 3.30pm on Friday 20th of June at the Cirencester Summer Solstice Ride. This is a rare opportunity to see these horses gathered together, promoting the inclusion of Crabbet blood in breeding endurance horses. In addition to established stars, there will also be young stallions just starting their careers both in endurance & at stud.

Cirencester is once again playing host to the summer solstice, three FEI classes: a CEI3* 160km, CEIJY3* 120km and CEI3* 120km.  As well as the usual mix of ERs and Graded rides over the three days. The Schedule and Entry form for the FEI classes can be obtained from the EGB office or down loaded from this site as soon as it is available.. 

 

There are as usual a full range of Grades rides available on both Friday and Sunday (20 & 21 June). Both days will also incorporate a 16km Non Competitive Ride Class

 

Format for the Event will be the same as used successfully on previous years, with the route consisting of multiple loops within the Park.  Some changes are in routes in an effort to improve the route and increase the variety are in the negotiation stages.

  

A meal will be available in the marquee on Saturday evening, for details see ride information page.
