Ride Saturday Class 2

Following the sad death of Cheryl Logan the organisers of the Cirencester Ride have very kindly agreed to name the 2 day 130km ER The Cheryl Logan Memorial Trophy.

The Cheryl Logan Trophy

Her close friend, equine photographer Eric Jones, has sculpted a bronze Arab head which will be the new trophy for the class. There will also be commemorative rosettes in Cheryl’s green and gold riding colours for all finishers.

Cheryl was a very keen supporter of the Young Rider squad, lending 3 of her top horses to aspiring Internationals, and The Cheryl Logan Memorial Fund has been launched in her memory to raise money to support the Young Riders and Senior Development Squads. Eric has generously agreed to cast a small number of copies of the trophy for sale, with profits going to the fund. He is also donating prints of several of his lovely pastels. The bronze and the prints will be on show at many rides throughout the season.
